Carnival Fuerteventura perfect for children
The children’s Murga “Los Garabatos” has been in existence for 30 years. They belong to the Cultural Association Datsimaal, which emerged as a neighbourhood group more than 100 years ago in the village of Villaverde (La Oliva). It is a real non-profit association, at a cultural, educational and leisure level for all the neighbours.
On the 7th of March, we have an appointment in the sports court of Villaverde at 20h00. The Carnival Fuerteventura kicks off, and to honor the 30th anniversary of the children’s Murga “Los Garabatos,” we have a series of performances by the most awaited Murgas “Gambusinos”, “Sargorias”, “Quintillo.com”, “TicTactitos”, and “Zarandajas”. Don’t forget that tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until total capacity is reached, and it is essential to bring your ID card.
Corralejo will be filled with joy and colour, with the Galas de Danzas, El Maratón de Murgas and undoubtedly the awaited Drag Queen Gala, after two years without being held, the carnival life returns to the site next to the José Perdomo Umpiérrez Pavilion.
Sara Estévez, Councillor for Festivities of the Town Council of La Oliva, “we will have all the stage acts.” However, “obviously, due to the requirements of the pandemic, they will be with limited seating, controlling the order of arrival, and with seats already assigned for each of the people.”

March 7 : Presentation of the 30th anniversary of the children’s Murga Los Garabatos.
March 10: Carnival Cultural Show and Carnival Proclamation
March 11: Gala for the election of the adult Carnival Queen.
March 12: Carnival in the family with the 5th edition of the carnival race.
March 13: Gala for the election of the Children’s Carnival Queen
14th March: Concert by Lennis Rodríguez
March 15: Children’s musical show “The Magic Door.”
March 16: Senior Carnival
March 17: Gala of dances
March 18 : Marathon of Murgas (street bands)
March 19: 2nd Carnival Show
March 20: Grand Drag Queen Gala
And on March 26, Carnival in La Oliva with the performance of La Murgota.
