Torment and Fuerteventura. Two words that don’t ever come together. This is what happened this weekend though. images and videos of the the tropical torment hermine that left the island affected with road blocks, light cuts, cancelled flights and other damages. A day the people on the island will not forget for a while.
It had been earlier announced that this adverse meteorological event was classed as a Tropical depression, which is the lowest category of tropical cyclones, although it is already now referred to as as a Tropical storm bearing the name Hermine, due to the fact that it has increased in strength rapidly over the last few Hours.
Today the sun has come out and the rain has fizzled. But the forecast still reads chances of heavy rain monday night, the 26th from 01:00 am onwards.
