Ecstatic Celebrations as Sunbeds Return to Fuerteventura’s Grandes Playas

Travelers who have been flocking to Fuerteventura for years were left disappointed when the sunbeds were suddenly taken away. But now, there’s a reason for joyous celebrations as the local authorities have implemented measures to “unblock” the provision of sunbeds and umbrellas in the Grandes Playas hotel zone.

These actions are being taken with the aim of meeting the needs of tourists and ensuring a high-quality tourist experience in this popular coastal area. For a while, seasonal services such as sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bars, and sports activities were in a precarious situation. To address this issue, the La Oliva Town Hall has worked in collaboration with local providers to implement a temporary hiring formula. This temporary formula guarantees a minimum of 700 sunbeds and 300 umbrellas in Grandes Playas, Corralejo, a coastal town with significant tourist activity. The objective of this temporary measure is to save the summer season and ensure that the beaches of Corralejo enjoy these highly demanded services.

On the other hand, the Mayor of the La Oliva Town Hall, Isaí Blanco, has emphasized the importance of this commitment and expressed gratitude for the patience and understanding of tourists and hoteliers during the temporary implementation process.
