Turismo de Fuerteventura presents the first edition of Saborea Fuerteventura

The gastronomic fair aimed at promoting the 0 km product will take place in Los Hornos de Cal de El Charco, in Puerto del Rosario from December 16 to 18.

The Tourist Board has presented  what will be the first edition of Saborea Fuerteventura, a gastronomic fair that will take place in the lime kilns of El Charco, in Puerto del Rosario, from December 16 to 18 and which is intended to promote the product of Km 0 and the Majorero gastronomic sector that will merge tradition and haute cuisine, to create delicious tapas that all attendees will be able to taste. 

An event in which, for the first time, the Saborea Fuerteventura brand will be launched, which, together with Productos de Fuerteventura, will add value to the entire value chain, both in our primary sector and  the chefs on the island who every day convert oils, cheeses, meats and fish in a gastronomy rich in traditions that is the perfect complement to the tourist sector of Fuerteventura”, assures the Minister of Tourism, Jessica de León, who wanted to thank in a special way in this first edition the collaboration of the Department of Tourism of Fuerteventura.

The event will also continue with musical performances, a space to taste the tapas and an area for show cooking, where they will be cooked live with the ingredients that can be purchased in the market as the common thread. In addition, a contest will be held to decide which is the best tapa, among all those prepared by the chefs present at the fair, and which will then be taken to the Madrid Fusión fair, which will be held in the capital of Spain in January. Precisely in the main gastronomic meeting of the country, Fuerteventura will have two stands, the destination’s own, whose tender for its creation and management is open until December 20, and another in Saborea España, where it will be the first time that the island is present. together with the rest of the Spanish destination that make up this network at a national level.
