The municipality of Antigua, located on Fuerteventura, will urgently allocate nearly €700,000 to restore the municipal sports pavilion. This decision follows technical reports indicating that the pavilion’s roof does not meet safety standards, despite being previously open for sports activities. David Alberto, the town’s Urban Planning Councilor, emphasized the importance of addressing the pavilion’s deteriorating condition. He also noted that new usage policies for the facility will prioritize residents of the municipality. This initiative aims to enhance local sports infrastructure and ensure the safety of its users.
Antigua is one of the towns on Fuerteventura, an island known for its beaches and tourism.
