Asamblea Majorera is approaching its 50th anniversary amidst an ongoing debate regarding its future within the Coalition Canaria. The island’s general secretary, Mario Cabrera, acknowledged that some party members are advocating for the organization to participate solely as Asamblea Majorera, without the Coalition. He emphasized the importance of unity among Canary nationalists.
Alongside the party’s Organization Secretary, Natalia Évora, Cabrera evaluated the current political landscape, noting that the organization is experiencing “one of our best moments.”
Asamblea Majorera has played a significant role in Fuerteventura’s political scene, advocating for the interests of its residents since its inception.
