On August 15, Cardón will host the first Rally Sprint of Fuerteventura, which is a qualifying event for the Championship of the Canary Islands. This initiative is part of the efforts by the Pájara Town Council to expand its sports calendar.
José Benito Alonso, the councilor for Sports, also announced new grants for local clubs, a new bidding process for the construction of the Pájara swimming pool, and the expectation that the football field in La Lajita will be completed by the end of the year.
