The II Manolo de la Hoz Journalism and Essay Award has opened its second edition, themed “A World in Crisis: The Phenomena Shaping the New Reality.” This competition invites journalists and authors to submit works analyzing significant changes and challenges of our time.
The submission period will remain open until October 27, 2026. Participants can submit texts of up to six pages or audiovisual pieces lasting up to 15 minutes.
The award has a total monetary prize of €7,000, with €4,000 for the first prize, €2,000 for the second, and a €1,000 special mention. This initiative continues the legacy of journalist Manolo de la Hoz, promoting journalism and essay writing as vital tools for understanding an increasingly complex reality.
