Contigo Tuineje calls municipal government handling a “boycott” after festival cancellation.

The political party Contigo Tuineje has criticized the municipal government led by Coalición Canaria and PSOE, labeling their management as a “boycott” following the suspension of the Festival Tran Tran, a key cultural and economic event in Gran Tarajal.

José Manuel Quintana, the island president of the party, condemned what he termed the “absolute incompetence and paralysis” of the governing coalition. He expressed concerns that the municipality “cannot continue under the command of an inept government that destroys our identity and punishes local commerce.”

Gran Tarajal is known for its vibrant community and cultural events, and the suspension of such a significant festival has raised concerns among residents and local businesses.
