In a remarkable initiative, representatives from the Secretaría de Estado (SETUR) recently visited Fuerteventura to gain firsthand insight into the ambitious Plan de Sostenibilidad Turística en Destino (PSTD) “Fuerte por Naturaleza.” With a funding allocation of €9.1 million through the European Next Generation funds, this project aims to transform the island into a premier sustainable tourist destination.

They were accompanied by influential stakeholders like Jessica de León Verdugo, the Canary Islands’ Tourism and Employment Councillor, and David Fajardo, the Councilor for Tourism from the La Oliva City Council.
