On November 6, significant infrastructure changes will kick off with the simultaneous construction of cruise terminals in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura, spearheaded by Global Ports Canarias. This ambitious project represents an investment exceeding 40 million euros, aimed at enhancing the cruise experience and positively impacting the local economy.

Set to rise at the Muelle de Santa Catalina, the two-story terminal will feature 14,000 square meters of space and three boarding bridges, allowing service for up to four cruise ships simultaneously.

Lanzarote’s Dual Cruise Terminals: Naos and Mármoles
Lanzarote will see the development of dedicated cruise terminals at the specialized docks in Arrecife, designed for simultaneous operations of multiple vessels. The Naos terminal will feature a single-story, 1,106 square meter building, dedicated to providing seamless services for transit and home porting, with an emphasis on operational safety and efficiency.
In addition to Naos, the Mármoles terminal will introduce a modern, modular facility spanning 556 square meters, accommodating up to three cruise ships at a time. This terminal will be reinforced by a 426 square meter satellite terminal, providing various auxiliary services to both passengers and crew during their stay.
Fuerteventura’s Innovative Design
Last but not least, the terminal at Puerto del Rosario in Fuerteventura showcases an innovative modular design covering 924 square meters. Positioned close to the city center, it will include a restaurant with an outdoor terrace, offering a comprehensive suite of services to enhance the passenger experience.
