This vibrant cultural event kicks off the festivities for the Día de Canarias, a day celebrated with passion and pride across the archipelago.

The public broadcaster is pulling out all the stops to deliver extensive technical coverage of this gathering, one of the most significant cultural events in the region’s calendar. Every year, thousands come together in Puerto del Rosario to engage in this beloved celebration, showcasing the rich heritage and traditions of the Canary Islands.

The Enthralling Experience of Baile de Taifas

Hosted by Alexis Hernández, the broadcast will provide viewers with intricate details about the main stage and the exciting line-up of performances. Tomás Galván will helm the television event, which will feature live music from three specially created parrandas, making for an authentic festive atmosphere. Reporters Juan Antonio Cabrera and Sonsoles Castillo will also be on-site, mingling with locals and visitors adorned in traditional clothing, celebrating the island’s distinct identity.

Moreover, food takes center stage at this cultural showcase. Emanuel de Daniel will deliver details regarding the Third Grand Baile de Taifas of the Gran Canaria Capital, featuring captivating musical performances from renowned groups like Los Gofiones, Los Poliguanches, and the Parranda de Teror, all accompanied by their lively dance troupes.

Furthermore, the broadcast will transport viewers to the charming Villa Mariana of Candelaria in Tenerife, where Naomi Vera will provide insights on their 12th edition of the Baile de Magos. The joyful celebration will occur in the area around the Town Hall and the Fishermen’s Square, promising lively performances from Pepe Benavente and orchestras such as Armonía Show, Sabrosa, and Grupo Atenia.

Following the folk festivities, Televisión Canaria will air the film ‘Rendir los machos’ at 00:20 hours, enhancing the celebration of Canarian identity.
