Natalia Santana, the island president of Nueva Canarias, has confirmed the party’s entry into an electoral alliance with Asambleas Municipales de Fuerteventura, Fuerteventura Avanza, and Juntos Por Pájara. During a press briefing, Santana stated that the Executive Committee approved the agreement by a significant majority. She emphasized that the alliance prioritizes the interests of Fuerteventura.
When asked about the possibility of any member party leaving to run under the banner of Vox, Santana expressed skepticism, stating it would be hard to believe that anyone endorsing a progressive program would align with Vox. She also discussed the appointment of councilor Oliver González to the La Oliva government, noting it fulfills a previous agreement between Nueva Canarias and Coalición Canaria.
Fuerteventura is one of Spain’s Canary Islands, known for its stunning beaches and tourism.
