Mario Cabrera, the Secretary General of Asamblea Majorera-Coalición Canaria, has advocated for the establishment of a Port Authority for Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, stating that “the numbers support its economic validity.” In a recent interview, Cabrera emphasized the importance of both islands working towards their own port management and called on the Spanish government to ensure a direct shipping connection between Cádiz and Puerto del Rosario. Joined by party colleague Natalia Évora, they also demanded the return of lands taken from the municipality of Pájara, which they described as “a significant portion of Fuerteventura.” Additionally, Cabrera and Évora backed the demands of ambulance technicians, including the potential for the Canarian Health Service to take over emergency transport services, highlighting the future arrival of three medicalized ambulances.
