The Antigua City Council has commenced renovation works on the sports court at Agua de Bueyes as part of a plan to repair and enhance the municipality’s sports facilities. The project includes cleaning, repairs, painting, and a complete refurbishment of a space that the local government describes as deteriorated, preparing it to host sporting events and activities once again.
Antigua Mayor Juan Cabrera reported that a dedicated team of six workers is focused on these renovations, emphasizing the goal of ensuring municipal sports facilities are functional and well-maintained. Sports Councillor Alejandro García noted that this initiative responds to community demands and aims to restore the Agua de Bueyes court in the near future. The City Council plans to continue similar improvements at other sports facilities across the municipality over the coming months.
