Investment in Municipal Services: New Machinery for Puerto del Rosario
The local government of Puerto del Rosario has recently made a significant investment in its municipal services by acquiring new machinery worth nearly 100,000 euros. This initiative aims to enhance the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the town’s public services.
New Equipment for Enhanced Performance
Two new machines have been officially procured to bolster the capabilities of the Municipal Services Department. These additions comprise an electric forklift and a versatile backhoe loader equipped with a variety of attachments. This strategic investment not only underscores the commitment of the local government to upgrade its tools but also reflects a broader push towards modernization and efficiency.
Electric Forklift: A Step Towards Sustainability
The first piece of newly acquired machinery is an electric forklift, which has been awarded at a cost of 32,605.04 euros. This innovative equipment boasts a load capacity of 1,500 kilograms and a minimum lifting height of 4.5 meters. Its electric motor is particularly noteworthy, marking a significant advancement in energy efficiency and sustainability. The forklift will primarily be used for warehouse and logistical tasks within municipal facilities, ensuring that operations are both effective and environmentally friendly.
Versatile Backhoe Loader: A Multi-Tool for Construction Teams
In addition to the electric forklift, the town has also secured a backhoe loader for 64,093.00 euros. This machine comes equipped with a comprehensive kit of accessories, transforming it into a highly adaptable tool for construction teams. Key attachments include a clam-shell bucket for loading, a chisel-type hammer for demolition and breaking tasks, and a set of buckets measuring 300, 600, and 1000 millimeters. What this means in practical terms is that the municipal teams will be better equipped to handle a range of projects with greater agility and efficiency.
Commitment from Local Authorities
Mayor David de Vera emphasized the significance of this machinery renewal, stating, “We continue to work on equipping our public services with the best tools. This investment not only enhances the working conditions for our personnel but directly impacts the quality of services that the citizens of Puerto del Rosario receive.” His sentiment highlights the proactive approach the municipality is taking toward improving public services.
Ensuring Transparency in Procurement
María Franco, the councilor for contracts, elaborated on the acquisition process, noting that it was conducted through a public tender to ensure transparency and compliance with technical specifications. She assured residents that the finalized prices reflect the best quality-to-price ratio, ensuring that public funds are used effectively.
Optimizing Resources for Public Works
David de León, the councilor for Municipal Services, expressed optimism about the new machinery. He underscored the backhoe loader’s arrival as a critical need identified by the roads and construction teams. The ability to utilize a percussive hammer along with different bucket sizes will allow the municipality to respond more rapidly to public repairs, trench openings, and debris loading, thereby optimizing available resources.
A Step Forward in Public Service Enhancement
Through these strategic investments, the municipality of Puerto del Rosario is dedicated to a continuous improvement plan that focuses on operational excellence, sustainability, and safety in all work sectors. This initiative is a clear reflection of the local government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of municipal services while simultaneously preparing for future challenges.
