The much-anticipated Elba Corralejo Resort & Spa, developed by Anjoca, the company led by the heirs of the late Ángel Jove, is set to open its doors to the public in December. Nestled in the stunning landscapes of northern Fuerteventura, this lavish resort promises a unique blend of comfort and luxury, featuring around 1,000 beds, 26 swimming pools, and a whopping price tag of 100 million euros.
According to details on the official Hoteles Elba website, reservations for the grand opening in December are already being accepted. The complex offers specialized accommodations catering to different preferences, including family-friendly options and an exclusive adults-only segment known as the Elba Corralejo Premium Level.
A Peek into Premium Offerings
The Elba Corralejo Resort & Spa boasts an impressive layout, featuring 50,000 square meters of facilities and 16,000 square meters of beautifully landscaped gardens. Among its attractions are 24 pools, including six “lazy river” pools, ensuring endless fun for families and couples alike. Additionally, the resort is equipped with 4,000 square meters dedicated to children’s facilities, allowing families to enjoy their stay without any worries. With around 500 chic rooms, 52 of which provide direct access to the pools, every visitor is in for a treat.
Currently, the Hoteles Elba brand manages 16 hotel complexes across the Canary Islands, with a strong presence in Fuerteventura, where they operate seven properties. They also have locations in Vecindario, Lanzarote, as well as other regions in Spain like Andalucía, Madrid, and Mallorca.

The advent of the Elba Corralejo project marks a significant milestone for Anjoca, as it is the largest undertaking in Fuerteventura not only in terms of financial commitment—amounting to 100 million euros—but also concerning the number of hotel rooms offered. The project is backed by Herculina las Dunas, a subsidiary of Anjoca Canarias that was established in 2022 and is headquartered in Vecindario, Santa Lucía de Tirajana. Recently, Anjoca has shown immense confidence in this project, injecting over 47 million euros into the endeavor over the past two years, with notable capital increases of 10 million euros in July 2024 and several more contributions totaling a substantial amount.

The business landscape for Anjoca is looking bright. The most recent official data from 2024 shows a stable revenue figure of 167 million euros, with a notable increase in the hotel chain’s contribution to overall earnings. Their profitability saw a remarkable 18.4% uptick compared to the previous year, bringing net income to 39.2 million euros.
According to insights detailed by Economía Digital Galicia through their analytical tool, Insight View, the rise in profitability can be attributed largely to the performance of the Elba hotel chain during a year marked by booming tourism. This surge led to record occupancy rates and price levels that benefited the overall financial health of the group, with Hoteles Elba seeing a 12% increase in revenue to reach 145 million euros.
The Architectural Beauty of Elba Corralejo
Anjoca’s diverse business portfolio—which spans construction, tourism, and beyond—has facilitated the successful execution of the Elba Corralejo hotel’s construction. The project is gracefully designed, as outlined on the company’s website, featuring four independent buildings interlinked through underground passageways to optimize the collective functionality of the complex.
The layout includes three separate blocks for guest accommodations, each comprising three levels that house a total of 478 double rooms of various sizes. The fourth structure is dedicated to essential amenities such as underground parking and communal spaces, ensuring that guests can enjoy seamless service during their stay at this luxurious resort.
