REIT Finalizes Sale of Eurostars Las Salinas, Continues Hotel Asset Rotation in Spain.

As Fuerteventura continues to attract investors, Atom Hoteles Socimi has made headlines with its recent strategic sale.

Atom Hoteles Socimi has successfully sold the Eurostars Las Salinas hotel, a four-star establishment located in Caleta de Fuste, Fuerteventura, for €51 million. This transaction not only involves the divestment of the property but also incorporates a long-term leasing arrangement, demonstrating a sophisticated approach to asset management.

Following the sale, the investor has entered into a leasing agreement with Hotel Diana, which is controlled by Amancio Lopez. The hotel will continue to operate under the recognized Eurostars Hotels brand, part of the Hotusa Group. This model mirrors previous successful transactions by Atom, backed by a solid operator and providing long-term revenue stability.

The Eurostars Las Salinas hotel features 223 accommodation units, including rooms, suites, and villas, many equipped with private pools. Additionally, the complex boasts a seafront shopping gallery with 20 stores, most of which are currently rented, adding to its income-generating potential.

As part of the sale process, Atom Hoteles has settled a €21 million mortgage linked to the property, enhancing its financial position and enabling further investment opportunities. This sale aligns with Atom’s strategy of asset rotation, similar to their previous divestment of the EXE Rey Don Jaime hotel in Valencia to Genefim.

This latest transaction highlights the robust liquidity of Spain’s hotel market, particularly in prime vacation destinations like the Canary Islands, where ongoing international demand and limited new supply continue to attract investor interest.

Following this transaction, Atom Hoteles’ portfolio comprises 21 hotel assets, totaling around 5,265 rooms across Spain. The SOCIMI’s strategy remains focused on active management of its portfolio through selective divestments and reinvestments, maintaining a dynamism that appeals to both investors and guests alike.
