HiperDino is embracing change in 2026 by undertaking a comprehensive upgrade of several of its locations. Just two weeks ago, the supermarket chain unveiled the renovations of its HiperDino Express El Cotillo store, situated in the beautiful region of Fuerteventura.
This store has undergone a complete transformation, significantly expanding its facilities and enhancing the shopping experience. The renovations were made possible by an impressive investment of nearly one million euros, allowing the store to boast a new sales area of 437 square meters within a total space of 558 square meters. The revamped layout includes standard product shelves alongside dedicated sections for bakery goods, fresh produce, perfumes, wines, organic options, and frozen foods.
According to Felipe Díaz, the coordinator of HiperDino Express (HDX) in the Canary Islands, this renovation meets the evolving demands of local customers. Díaz emphasizes that the improvements not only modernize services and product sections but also enhance operational efficiency. This is crucial given that El Cotillo is a popular tourist destination, particularly bustling from April onward.
Díaz also highlighted that HiperDino has ambitious plans for 2026, with considerable investments earmarked for upgrading its HiperDino Express outlets. Currently, the chain operates 93 HDX stores in the Canary Islands and anticipates an expansion to 21 HDX in Mallorca by the end of April. This focus reflects the group’s commitment to creating stores that provide fresh, local, and quality products, tailored to cater to the profile of tourists visiting the Canary Archipelago.
The ambitious renovation project also emphasizes energy efficiency. This includes installing LED lighting in the sales area and implementing Danfoss tele-management systems to optimize the operation of lighting, signage, air conditioning, and cold chain management.
HiperDino Express El Cotillo is conveniently located at Calle Los Lagos, 7, and operates daily from 08:00 to 22:00.
