ARK Living Expands Co-Living Offerings with New Shoreditch Property
This August, ARK Living is set to unveil its latest co-living property in the vibrant neighborhood of Shoreditch, East London. With a focus on flexible stays, community living, and shared amenities, this new development will feature 194 serviced studios tailored to meet the needs of both short and long-term residents.
A Prime Location
Strategically located near popular spots like Broadway Market, Columbia Road, and London Fields, ARK Shoreditch promises to be a hub for urban dwellers seeking convenience and culture. The property spans six floors and is designed to cater to a diverse range of lifestyles, making it an attractive option for professionals, students, and anyone seeking a dynamic living environment.
Flexible Living Arrangements
One of the standout features of ARK Shoreditch is its flexible rental agreements. Residents can choose from options ranging from one night to 12 months, with long-stay licenses available for three to 12 months. Short-stay arrangements will accommodate visits of one to 89 nights, utilizing dynamic pricing to ensure affordability and accessibility.
Diverse Accommodation Options
The property will offer a mix of accommodation types, including 162 studios designed for longer stays and 32 short-stay rooms. Studio sizes range from 17 square meters for the Cosy Studios to 25.5 square meters for the larger Urban Studios. All serviced rooms come equipped with ensuite bathrooms, double beds, and TVs, ensuring a comfortable living experience.
Emphasis on Community and Shared Spaces
Unlike ARK Living’s other properties in Canary Wharf and Wembley, the short-stay rooms at Shoreditch will not include kitchenettes. This design choice encourages residents to utilize the communal cooking facilities and social spaces, fostering a sense of community. Shared amenities will include large communal kitchens, a gym, a yoga studio, a cinema room, karaoke rooms, a playroom, and even an internal garden.
Engaging Community Events
In addition to physical amenities, ARK Shoreditch will host a variety of community events aimed at promoting social interaction and networking among residents. This focus on community is a key aspect of the ARK Living philosophy, which seeks to create spaces where individuals can connect and collaborate.
Sustainability at the Forefront
Sustainability is a core value for ARK Living, and the Shoreditch property reflects this commitment. The refurbishment prioritizes restoration and upcycling wherever possible, ensuring that existing furnishings are retained and reused. This approach not only minimizes waste but also adds character to the living spaces.
Accessibility and Transport Links
The Shoreditch location is well-connected, with easy access to Hackney City Farm, Victoria Park, Haggerston Park, and Regent’s Canal. Residents will benefit from convenient transport links via Cambridge Heath Overground and Bethnal Green Underground stations, making it easy to explore the rest of London.
Leadership and Future Plans
ARK Living is owned and operated by Crosstree Real Estate, led by managing director Robert Alam. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and co-living sectors, Alam is well-equipped to guide the company’s expansion. Alongside the Shoreditch property, ARK Living is also preparing to launch student accommodation projects across London, starting with a site in Canning Town set to open for the 2026/27 academic year.
A Vision for Community and Connectivity
Robert Alam expresses excitement about the Shoreditch launch, emphasizing the importance of building connections within new communities. He envisions ARK Shoreditch as a space where residents can engage with each other and the rich heritage of the surrounding area. This initiative reflects a broader trend in urban living, where younger professionals increasingly seek flexible, socially-driven alternatives to traditional rental housing.
As ARK Living continues to grow its co-living portfolio, the Shoreditch property stands as a testament to the evolving landscape of urban living, blending private accommodation with communal experiences and a focus on sustainability.
