British Airways Expands Winter Network with New Route to Fuerteventura

LONDON – British Airways (BA) has exciting news for travelers looking to escape the winter chill. The airline has announced a new nonstop route from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Fuerteventura Airport (FUE) in Spain’s picturesque Canary Islands. This new service, set to begin on December 13, 2026, marks a significant expansion of BA’s winter 2026 network from the UK’s busiest airport.

A New Direct Connection

This new route is particularly noteworthy as it represents the first time British Airways will operate flights directly from Heathrow to Fuerteventura. On Thursdays, travelers can expect to depart Heathrow at 7:05 a.m., arriving in Fuerteventura at 11:30 a.m. The return flight will leave Fuerteventura at 12:30 p.m., landing back in London at 4:50 p.m. For those flying on Sundays, the schedule features a 10:05 a.m. departure from Heathrow, with the return flight leaving Fuerteventura at 3:40 p.m.
