Immersive Experience with Royal Ambassadors: Caring for Camels

For an hour, visitors have the unique opportunity to engage in hands-on activities with the majestic royal camels, guided by the knowledgeable Royal Ambassadors. This dedicated team, composed of biologists, veterinarians, and environmental educators, brings an immersive experience to life. Clad in thematic attire that captures the essence of the occasion, they lead small groups through an exciting journey of care for these incredible animals.

A Day of Caring: Activities with Camels

During the session, participants get to experience the day-to-day responsibilities involved in camel care. They engage in activities like brushing, feeding, and even observing the adorable camel calves. This interactive approach not only emphasizes the importance of animal welfare but also allows visitors to forge a deeper connection with these gentle giants. Additionally, a charming tradition involves sending letters to Their Majesties using an official mailbox, creating a memorable experience that resonates with both young and old.

Savoring Local Flavors

After an engaging time with the camels, the experience culminates in a delightful snack featuring local products. Visitors can savor the rich tastes of traditional Majorero cuisine, including local oil, cheese, gofio, and pastries. This culinary delight adds an extra layer to the overall experience, giving visitors a true taste of the region’s culture. To top it off, each participant receives a symbolic gift—Compost Majorero, a type of organic compost made right on the farm. This thoughtful gift not only reflects the commitment to sustainability and circular economy practices but also encourages visitors to consider their own environmental impact.

Fostering Intergenerational Bonds

The special promotion titled “For Every Grandchild, a Free Grandparent” aims to strengthen intergenerational relationships. This initiative honors the invaluable role that grandparents play in preserving Majorero culture. By inviting families to participate together, the experience promotes shared memories and understanding across generations—an important aspect of cultural heritage.
