On Thursday, August 13, Fuerteventura will compete against Tenerife in the traditional Luchada Institucional during the Festivities of the Virgen de Candelaria. The event, a highlight of the celebration, will feature the Majorera team led by Martín Cano, with prominent wrestlers including Jonay Matoso (Puntal B) and Erik Rodríguez (Puntal C). Other team members include Bruno Castaño, Guayre Rodríguez, Kevin Pérez, Kiko Elvira, Gaumet Innouri, Carlos Cabrera, and Yeray Hernández, alongside youth wrestlers Samuel Cabrera, Raúl Ruiz, and Pablo Cabrera.
The competition will begin at 9:30 PM, following two earlier matches: the Luchada de Menores at 6:45 PM and the Luchada Femenina at 8:00 PM, which will be broadcast live on La 2 de TVE in the Canary Islands. This event forms part of the rich tradition of lucha canaria, an important cultural sport in the Canary Islands.
