KFC Makes Its Debut in Fuerteventura: A Milestone for Employment and Dining

The vibrant island of Fuerteventura welcomes a new culinary giant this summer with the arrival of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). On June 30, KFC opened its first restaurant in Fuerteventura, marking a significant step in the brand’s strategic plan to expand across Spain, particularly in the captivating Canary Islands. This opening not only promises to tantalize taste buds with its delicious offerings but also aims to enhance the local economy through job creation.

Employment Boost: 25 New Job Openings

The introduction of KFC to Fuerteventura comes with the creation of 25 new jobs, underscoring the brand’s commitment to investing in local communities. These positions are crucial for the island, providing opportunities for both full-time and part-time employment in an area that thrives on tourism and hospitality. As the restaurant prepares to serve customers, it also reinforces the island’s employment landscape, contributing positively to the local economy.

Restaurant Features: A Blend of Comfort and Innovation

Nestled in the heart of Corralejo, the new KFC restaurant spans a spacious 258 square meters. The interior boasts 110 square meters dedicated to diners, accommodating up to 78 guests in a welcoming setting. One of the highlights of the restaurant’s design includes modern digital kiosks that enhance the customer experience. These kiosks facilitate self-service with an intuitive menu board, making ordering simple and efficient.

Moreover, the restaurant features a stunning outdoor terrace that stretches across 192 square meters with seating for an additional 108 patrons. This outdoor area invites guests to enjoy their meals in the delightful Fuerteventura climate, making it a perfect spot for families, tourists, and locals alike.

Strategic Expansion in the Canary Islands

KFC’s expansion into Fuerteventura is part of a broader strategy to solidify its presence in the Canary Islands, where it now operates 11 restaurants across four islands: Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Tenerife, and now, Fuerteventura. This strategic growth not only bolsters KFC’s market position but also demonstrates the brand’s commitment to capturing the hearts of Canary Island residents and visitors.

The franchisee, Trigatum, expressed excitement at this new chapter, stating, “We are very proud to bring the KFC brand to Fuerteventura for the first time. Our goal is to continue expanding KFC’s presence in the Canary Islands, bringing our restaurants closer to everyone who wishes to visit us.” Such enthusiasm illustrates the positive impact the brand envisions for both the community and the dining experience.

Key Location: Corralejo

The choice of Corralejo as the location for the first KFC restaurant in Fuerteventura is strategic. Known for its breathtaking beaches and vibrant tourist scene, Corralejo attracts thousands of visitors yearly. The restaurant’s visibility and accessibility promise a steady stream of customers, eager to indulge in KFC’s signature fried chicken and flavorful sides.

Embracing the Future: Innovative Dining Experience

At the new KFC restaurant, innovation is at the forefront. The installations include not only intuitive ordering kiosks but also various payment options, catering to the diverse preferences of diners. Such technology reflects a shift in how food service is evolving to meet customer needs, ensuring that patrons can enjoy their meals with ease and comfort.
