La Carpa Fuerteventura 2019: An Unmissable Musical Experience

La Carpa Fuerteventura 2019 has officially kicked off, and tickets for concerts featuring four internationally acclaimed artists are now on sale. The event, set against the stunning backdrop of Fuerteventura, is not just about music; it’s a bold commitment to sustainability and the fight against plastic waste that ends up in our oceans. This year, the festival introduces exciting new activities throughout the day, coinciding with the World Championships of Windsurf and Kiteboarding, alongside vibrant themed parties at night.

An International Lineup of Artists

This year’s festival promises to electrify audiences with a lineup that includes DJ Quintino, Puerto Rican reggaeton star Farruko, and the internationally acclaimed artist Justin Quiles. The night of August 1st will be transformed into an unforgettable electronic party as Dutch DJ Quintino, known for his mixes on Spinnin’ Records, takes center stage. Ranked as one of the top 30 DJs in the world by DJ Mag, his performance is sure to be a highlight of the festival.

Before Quintino’s set, the festival will pulse with energy as Farruko takes the stage on July 23rd. His unique fusion of reggaeton and Latin trap is guaranteed to get attendees moving and singing along. Following Farruko, the night of July 30th will see Justin Quiles, whose tracks have made waves on the prestigious Billboard charts, showcase his undeniable talent. Additionally, on July 25th, the lively sounds of Macaco will fill the air, as the artist promotes his new album, “Civilizado como los animales,” bringing refreshing world music and uplifting messages to the crowd.

More Than Just Music

Aside from the impressive lineup, La Carpa Fuerteventura 2019 also features a variety of international, national, and local artists, with the added appeal of themed nights that promise non-stop entertainment throughout the 17 days of the Windsurfing Championship at Sotavento Beach. The festival is becoming a signature summer event in the Canary Islands, providing a significant boost to the local economy by employing over a hundred workers during its duration.

Eco-Friendly Ticketing and Initiatives

This year’s festival stands out with its commitment to sustainability, offering online tickets via a site that prioritizes ecological standards—ecoentradas.com. In a bid to mitigate plastic waste, the festival has implemented environmentally friendly measures including reusable cups made from polypropylene and disposable utensils crafted from bamboo, compostable cardboard, and paper. An official festival cup is the result of a collaboration with Padilla Supermercados Spar, who have been supporters of this initiative for over four years.

The festival experience extends beyond music, with daytime workshops on environmental awareness for attendees. Moreover, even the special effects used during performances will be biodegradable, showcasing a comprehensive approach to sustainability.

Easy Ticket Access

For those wishing to join the festivities, tickets can be conveniently purchased online through ecoentradas.com, or collected at any of the ten Padilla Supermercados—Spar locations across the island. While organizers advise buying tickets in advance to avoid potential last-minute headaches, tickets will also be available at the La Carpa box office.

La Carpa Fuerteventura 2019 is co-organized by the Ayuntamiento de Pájara and René Egli by Meliá, produced by Eventton, with support from the Cabildo de Fuerteventura and backed by Meliá Fuerteventura. As the summer unfolds, this festival is poised to be a pivotal point of attraction, merging exceptional music with a vital cause.
