The tests for the 2026-2027 Neuromajo season begin this week with the Carrera de Letras competition, a cognitive stimulation and mental agility test adapted to the participants. For the first time, this test is detached from the main competition weekend, covering all the municipalities of Fuerteventura between October 2 and 8. The Letters Race will begin on Friday, October 2, at 10:30 a.m., at the Oasis Municipal Pavilion in Puerto del Rosario and at 5:00 p.m. at the Gran Tarajal Municipal Pavilion, in the municipality of Tuineje. On Monday, October 5, the test will take place at the José Perdomo Umpiérrez Municipal Pavilion in Corralejo (La Oliva) at 10:30 a.m. and at 6:00 p.m. at the Antigua Senior Center. For its part, on Thursday, October 8, it will be the turn of the municipality of Pájara at 10:30 a.m. at the Morro Jable Municipal Sports Center, as well as the participants from the municipality of Betancuria, at 5:00 p.m. at the Valle de Santa Inés Cultural Center. Neuromajo 2026-2027 The Neuromajo project is promoted by the Department of Social Action of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura together with the Neurolímpica Association, with the involvement of the six town councils.
