This vibrant event, organized by the Asociación de Empresarios de Puerto del Rosario, aims to blend commercial dynamism with entertainment and solidarity, showcasing the best of local businesses in an inviting family-friendly atmosphere.

With over 30 local businesses participating, attendees can expect enticing end-of-season discounts on a variety of products. The atmosphere will be buzzing with live music, creative workshops, and dedicated children’s zones, ensuring there is something fun for everyone. Additionally, the event will highlight solidarity gastronomy, where local culinary talents will showcase their skills for a good cause.
Launch of PROSA Comercio Local
One of the highlights of this year’s fair is the official launch of the PROSA Comercio Local application. This innovative digital tool is designed to reward consumers immediately for their purchases during the event. The launch will take place on Sunday, June 15, at 10:30 AM, marking a significant step towards boosting local commerce.
Activities for All Ages
The fair commences on Saturday, June 14, at 10:00 AM, with an official inauguration ceremony. A variety of activities will unfold throughout the day, including live music performances at various locations from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Families can take part in engaging workshops like “Mi Molino Pop Up” and “Caritas de Cabras.” Kids will also have the opportunity to enjoy face painting and glitter tattoo sessions, organized by Pintadera Canarias.
The solidarity gastro zone will feature renowned jamón cutter Josele, with proceeds going to the Association of Families of People with Alzheimer’s and other Dementias of Fuerteventura (AFFA), combining gastronomy with philanthropy.
In the afternoon, starting at 4:30 PM, activities will continue, ensuring the fun does not stop. A collaborative spirit will be maintained with workshops like “Pintando con Alma Isleña” and a pizza sale aimed at raising funds to further support local initiatives.
On Sunday, June 15, after the PROSA launch, the festivities will resume with more live music, and the Casa de Globos Cultural will make an appearance, alongside new workshops such as “Mi Talega Majorera” and “Cabrito y Pastores.” Special attractions like a photocall with a Roulette of Fortune and a “Fame Corner” for instant photos will keep the excitement alive. The gastro solidarity zone will reopen, continuing to showcase local culinary talents.

Thanks to the support from the Government of Canary Islands—particularly from officials like Commerce Minister Manuel Domínguez and other key figures—the Feria de Oportunidades represents a united front for local commerce. The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, led by Mayor David de Vera, along with various councilors, have also played an essential role in facilitating this event.
Additionally, the collaboration with organizations like ASOFUER, and local associations such as GastroMajo, AFFA, and Cocahi, underscores the community’s commitment to bolstering local enterprises.
