August brings a wealth of exciting experiences for the youth of Fuerteventura. Activities such as karting, a water park excursion, an inflatable giant foosball session, and bumper ball games are just a few highlights of the second round of the “Actívate” program. Registration is now open for young people aged 12 to 30.
The Youth Department of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura is once again promoting an active summer, offering a free programming schedule that combines sports, healthy recreational activities, and social engagement. This initiative presents attractive alternatives for enjoying leisure time across various municipalities on the island.
The program kicks off on August 8 with a karting day paired with a driving workshop in Puerto del Rosario. On August 21, Gran Tarajal will host a giant inflatable foosball session and bumper ball attraction, while August 29 will see the program conclude with a fun-filled day at a water park in Corralejo.
Adargoma Hernández, the Youth Minister, encourages the island’s youth to seize this new opportunity to participate in the initiative. “We aim to continue providing activities that align with our young people’s interests and that allow them to enjoy a different summer—one filled with sports, new friendships, and enriching experiences that promote coexistence and healthy leisure,” he stated.
Lola García, the President of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, emphasizes the importance of quality leisure options for the youth. “Young people deserve accessible leisure opportunities that are spread throughout the entire island. The Cabildo is committed to advancing initiatives that enhance their participation and provide opportunities for enjoyment, sharing, and personal development in a safe and healthy environment,” she remarked.
All activities are completely free and have limited spots available. Interested individuals can register now through the official website www.fuerteventurajovenyeduca.es.
The second round of activities marks the continuation of the “Actívate” program, an initiative dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyle habits, encouraging youth participation, and providing active leisure alternatives during the summer months.
