Important Reminders for Passengers
Service Restrictions
To ensure smooth operation and to minimize delays, passengers are reminded that activation and recharging of transport cards will not be permitted on these special services. This measure aims to streamline boarding and minimize the risk of congestion, given that a large number of participants are expected to attend the events in honor of Nuestra Señora de La Peña. It’s advisable to have your transport card pre-loaded and ready for use.
Onboard Regulations
While travel passes can be used on these special bus services, it’s important to note that food and drinks are not allowed on board, nor will luggage storage be available. This policy helps ensure a clean and comfortable environment for all passengers during the festival days.
Encouraging Public Transport Use
El Cabildo de Fuerteventura is actively encouraging all attendees of the Fiestas de La Peña to utilize public transportation as a viable alternative to individual car travel. This initiative not only helps reduce traffic congestion but also facilitates easier access to the events.
Regular Service Lines Operating on Festive Days
In addition to the special bus services, regular transport lines will also be operational, providing more options for travelers:
- Line 01: Puerto del Rosario to Morro Jable will run frequently throughout the day, with an estimated travel time of 30 minutes to Antigua.
- Line 16: Puerto del Rosario to Gran Tarajal will operate with select trips, taking approximately 45 minutes to reach Antigua.
- Line 2: Puerto del Rosario to Vega de Río Palmas offers fewer trips, with only one service passing through Antigua.
Passengers can rely on these regular services to navigate throughout the island during the festive celebrations.
