The plaza was inaugurated by the mayor, Matías Peña García, who signed the handover act on a bright Tuesday. This agreement, passed in a municipal session in March 2023, allows the local government to receive this fully furnished and completed plaza free of charge. The plaza is strategically located near key roads such as Avenida El Castillo, Calle Ajicán, and Alcalde Juan Évora Suárez, making it easily accessible for visitors and locals alike.

This initiative falls within the framework of the II Plan for the Modernization, Improvement, and Competitiveness of Caleta de Fuste, an ambitious project aimed at optimizing more than 40,000 square meters of public space.
