Hunting dogs (archive) The Cabildo of Fuerteventura, through the Department of Hunting, makes available a new training and training field for hunting dogs: Coto ‘La Capellanía’, which is located in the old piconera of the Chacón (municipality of La Oliva). The Hunting Department would like to thank the neighbors for giving up this space, temporarily, for the practice of hunting activity in the northern area of Fuerteventura. This field joins those already enabled in Coto de los Camachos, Parque Holandés, Barranco Río Cabras and Guerepe. The period established for the authorized training fields runs from Thursday, May 28, to the last business day before the opening of the 2026 hunting season. The days allowed will be Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays and national and regional holidays, at times between sunrise and sunset as appropriate by the National Geographic Information Center. Likewise, the Coto de los Camachos and Guerepe fields will reopen from the first day allowed after the end of the 2026 hunting season until December 27, 2026, both inclusive. The Cabildo reminds all users of the importance of maintaining good behavioral practices during the development of the activity, acting with responsibility and respect for the natural environment. All information regarding the location, access and parking of vehicles to the authorized training and training fields can be consulted on the website of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura: https://www.cabildofuer.es/cabildo/areas-tematicas/caza/
