The XXIV Insular Craft Fair of Fuerteventura is set to enchant visitors with a vibrant blend of craftsmanship and musical performances. Running from Thursday, May 4 to Sunday, May 7, this year’s fair promises an engaging program filled with concerts and cultural showcases. Taking place in the picturesque Plaza de Antigua and its surrounding streets, the event expects to draw over 20,000 attendees during its four-day run.

A Celebration of Craftsmanship

At the heart of the fair are nearly 200 artisans showcasing their skills, talents, and creations. As emphasized by the mayor of Antigua, Matías Peña García, the primary aim of this event is to support the sales of these talented craftsmen and promote the art of craftsmanship in a lively, personal setting. Friday’s Highlight: Tabajoste

On Friday, May 5, visitors can anticipate a standout performance by the renowned group Tabajoste at 7:15 PM. Earlier in the day, there will be performances from Voces del Callejón, a group part of the art and animation school Entre Siluetas, as well as Adisfuer, showcasing local talent and community spirit. Additionally, the afternoon will see the folkloric stylings of the Antigua and Casillas del Ángel Folklore Group.

Saturday’s Show: MADAI

The schedule continues to impress with a musical performance by MADAI on Saturday, May 6 at 7:00 PM. Prior to their show, festival-goers can enjoy tunes from the Municipal Band of Pájara and Los Campesinos de Lanzarote in the morning, further enriching the local cultural offering.

Sunday Finale: Magec and Folklore Gathering

As the fair approaches its end on Sunday, the energy remains high. Magec from Tenerife will take the stage at midday, bringing their unique sound to the festival. In the afternoon, engage in a Folkloric Encounter featuring Parranda Monte Janana. This gathering will also include participation from senior centers across the northern part of Fuerteventura, as well as the Cultural Association El Campillo, showcasing the intergenerational passion for music and tradition.
