Tuineje City Council-Radio Sintonía The Tuineje City Council has taken a new step to approve its Municipal Emergency Plan (PEMU). The proposal is submitted to the information committee this Thursday and will subsequently be taken to the plenary session on July 21 for initial approval. Tuineje finalizes the approval of its Municipal Emergency Plan. According to the mayor, David Herrera, this document will allow the actions of the Local Police, Civil Protection, firefighters and the rest of the emergency services to be coordinated under a common regulatory framework. In addition, it will facilitate a more effective response to any risk situation that may occur in the municipality. With this initiative, Tuineje will become the second municipality in Fuerteventura with less than 20,000 inhabitants to have a Municipal Emergency Plan. The Consistory highlights the collaboration of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, through the Department of Emergencies and Security, to prepare and validate the technical document. For his part, the Police Councilor, Jonathan Peña, emphasizes that the PEMU will improve coordination between the different security and emergency forces. Likewise, it considers that this instrument will benefit both the professionals who intervene in an emergency and the citizens. Once it obtains the approval of the plenary session, the Municipal Emergency Plan will become a key tool to organize the available resources and improve the municipality’s response capacity in the event of any eventuality.
