TUI Group’s Commitment to Active Vacations with Robinson
TUI Group has made a significant move by focusing on its premium subsidiary, Robinson, known for active vacations. This strategy includes the addition of new destinations to enhance the offerings for 2019, along with renovations and an optimized classification system for its clubs. These changes are aimed at simplifying vacation choices for travelers seeking unique experiences.
A New Way to Choose: Club Classification
Starting in the summer of 2019, Robinson will introduce a fresh classification system designed to streamline how customers select their perfect club. The new categories will be divided into “for adults,” “for families,” and “for everyone.” This clear segmentation is crafted to help travelers easily identify the environment that best suits their needs, ensuring a seamless experience from the moment they consider booking their getaway.
Renovations: A Triumph in Fuerteventura
Among the most noteworthy renovations is the Robinson Club Jandia Playa located in Fuerteventura. After a substantial renovation project, the hotel re-opened its doors in December, unveiling a host of modern upgrades. Originally launched in 1970, this hotel has undergone a complete reconstruction of its iconic “Torre,” which now boasts 140 rooms spread across ten floors, including 26 beautifully designed suites.
One of the highlights of the renovation is the new sky bar featuring an infinity pool and a relaxing chill-out area. Guests can bask in stunning views while enjoying their favorite cocktails. In addition, the updated WellFit® spa provides a rejuvenating experience, complemented by a new restaurant with a terrace and a lifestyle boutique—further enhancing the overall appeal of the resort.
The renovation of Robinson Club Jandia Playa came with a price tag of €20 million, reflecting TUI Group’s dedication to delivering high-quality experiences to its guests.

New Horizons: Expanding to Cape Verde
In 2019, Robinson will be making its debut in Cape Verde, marking an exciting chapter with its fifth exclusive adults-only club. This new addition is tailored for couples and solo travelers, creating a fresh sanctuary for visitors looking for a blend of relaxation and adventure.
The Robinson Club Cape Verde will feature 300 rooms and is designed to capitalize on the abundant opportunities for water sports and historical excursions that Cape Verde has to offer. The resort’s design and culinary offerings will be inspired by the rich local culture, providing an immersive experience from the moment guests arrive.
Guests can expect an extensive array of activities that align with the brand’s ethos, including a comprehensive yoga program and various sports designed to keep guests engaged and active during their stay.
The Active Vacation Philosophy
Robinson’s brand philosophy centers around catering to active tourists. The offerings are not just about sunbathing by the pool; they are designed to promote health, wellness, and exploration. From watersports and hiking excursions to yoga classes and culinary workshops, each resort aims to create opportunities for guests to stay active and engaged.
By investing in infrastructure and diversifying its destination portfolio, TUI Group is poised to enhance the overall experience of travelers who seek an adventurous yet relaxing getaway. With a keen focus on active vacations, Robinson is reshaping how travelers view their holiday options.
Each of these developments signifies TUI Group’s unwavering commitment to high-quality, engaging vacations that resonate with today’s active tourists.
