Join the 24-Hour Solidarity Reading Event: A Magical Initiative for a Worthy Cause
La Asociación Social Creciendo invites the community to participate in the 24-hour uninterrupted Reading Solidarity event, organized by IES Puerto del Rosario to celebrate World Book Day on April 23rd. In its third edition, this initiative aims to raise funds to support the association’s work in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
Event Details: A Celebration of Reading
The reading marathon will take place in the library of the capital’s educational center, commencing on Wednesday, April 22nd, at 14:00 and continuing continuously until the same time on Thursday, April 23rd. Notably, this event will also include the participation of IES Las Maretas from Lanzarote, enhancing its collaborative and inter-island spirit.
A unique feature of this year’s event is its focus on the enchanting literary world of Harry Potter. Participants are encouraged to transform the reading session into a space of connection, collaboration, and compassion.
An Inclusive Opportunity for All
The event is open to everyone, regardless of age or background. This inclusive literary marathon offers texts tailored to various age groups, ensuring that it remains accessible with easy-to-read materials and pictograms. The aim is to involve as many people as possible, creating an environment where the love for reading can flourish.

Creciendo Association encourages individuals to engage in this solidary initiative, emphasizing that the library will become a lively hub where words are not just read but also shared, felt, and owned collectively. All proceeds will go directly to the Asociación Social Creciendo, supporting their programs tailored for children and youth with functional diversity and their families.
