The Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through the Department of Culture, has announced the performance schedules for the twentieth edition of the Fuerteventura en Música (FEM) festival. This exciting event is set to take place on July 3rd and 4th at the stunning Playa de La Concha in El Cotillo, welcoming music lovers from all over the world to celebrate a major milestone in the island’s cultural calendar.

The festival promises to be a star-studded affair, featuring a blend of international, national, and local artists. This year’s edition is particularly special as it commemorates two decades of one of the most established world music festivals in the Canary Islands. Such longevity attests to the festival’s ability to adapt and evolve, providing a platform for diverse musical expressions from around the globe.

Kicking off on Friday, July 3rd, attendees can look forward to an electrifying lineup. The festivities will commence with the performance of Marta Umpiérrez at 7:45 PM, followed by Chanela Clicka at 9:00 PM. The evening heats up with La Sra. Tomasa at 10:30 PM, leading into a highly anticipated performance by Femi Kuti & The Positive Force at midnight. The night will conclude with a performance by Eskorzo at 1:45 AM, and DJ Woodhands will be in charge of the music between sets, keeping the energy alive throughout the night.

The excitement continues on Saturday, July 4th, with another fantastic lineup. The day starts with the performance of Arife at 7:45 PM, followed by Queralt Lahoz at 9:00 PM and Kumbia Boruka at 10:30 PM. Not to be missed, Antonio Carmona will take the stage at midnight, and Pongo will wrap up the night with a performance at 1:45 AM. Again, DJ Woodhands will oversee the music between acts, ensuring a seamless flow of energy throughout the festival.

In addition to the main performances, the FEM festival continues its tradition of offering a parallel program of daytime activities, encouraging attendees to immerse themselves fully in the cultural experience. Collaborating with the Cotillo Joven collective, the festival will provide workshops, local markets, and other family-friendly activities to keep everyone engaged. Furthermore, a special public transport system will be in action to facilitate easy transportation to El Cotillo, making it accessible for both locals and visitors.
