Blue Sea Hotels acquires two establishments in Mallorca and Fuerteventura

Blue Sea Hotels: Expanding Horizons in Mediterranean Destinations

Blue Sea Hotels has been making headlines lately with its exciting plans for expansion. The hotel chain is venturing into new territories, notably Puerto de Alcúdia, while simultaneously re-establishing its presence in Fuerteventura with two newly acquired properties: the Blue Sea Piscis and Blue Sea Jandía Luz.

New Destination: Puerto de Alcúdia

At the heart of Puerto de Alcúdia, the Hotel Blue Sea Piscis stands proud as a three-star establishment. Designed exclusively for adults, this hotel features 200 rooms, making it an ideal sanctuary for those seeking a serene getaway. The addition of this property marks a significant milestone for Blue Sea Hotels, bringing their total to nine establishments across five distinctive destinations within Mallorca. The company is keenly looking for further opportunities to enhance its footprint in other popular tourist regions of Spain.

Family-Friendly Retreat: Blue Sea Jandía Luz

On the other side of Spain’s beautiful landscapes lies Blue Sea Jandía Luz, a family-oriented complex comprising 117 two-key apartments. Located just three minutes on foot from the stunning coastline of Morro Jable, this property is designed to cater to families and couples, ensuring a cozy atmosphere where travelers can unwind and enjoy the beach life.

Back to Business: Expanding the Portfolio

The expansion spree for Blue Sea Hotels has gained momentum following a significant investment from the Spanish investment firm Portobello Capital, which acquired a majority stake in the company last year. This move has not only revitalized the business but also placed it in a robust position within the competitive hospitality market of Spain.

With over 4,300 rooms across prime destinations in the country, Blue Sea Hotels proudly owns 75% of its assets. This ownership allows for greater control over the quality of services and experiences provided to guests. The recent surge in acquisitions, which includes 11 new properties in sought-after locations like Mallorca, Costa Brava, Tenerife, and Lanzarote, showcases the chain’s ambition to be a key player in the Spanish tourism landscape.

Investment in Quality

Beyond acquisition, Blue Sea Hotels is not resting on its laurels. The company has committed over 10 million euros to renovation efforts aimed at modernizing and maintaining their properties. A large portion of this investment has been directed toward refurbishing nearly all offerings in Mallorca over the past winter season. According to CEO Sebastiá Català, the focus remains firmly on enhancing the quality of service provided to customers, ensuring that guests enjoy memorable and comfortable stays.

Future Aspirations

As Blue Sea Hotels continues its growth trajectory, the emphasis on delivering exceptional customer experiences is clear. By expanding its property portfolio and investing in improvements, the chain is well-positioned to cater to a diverse range of travelers—whether they seek relaxation, adventure, or family-friendly environments. The allure of Spanish destinations, enhanced by the dedicated vision of Blue Sea Hotels, promises exciting journeys and cherished memories for all who visit.
