As we approach World Ocean Day (June 8), Corona, the world’s most valuable beer brand, has unveiled the highly anticipated second edition of its annual Corona Beach 100 for 2026. This edition celebrates not only the beauty of our oceans but also the unique ecosystems and vibrant local communities that breathe life into these breathtaking beaches.

A Global Invitation to Nature

Under the inspiring banner of “This Is Living,” Corona encourages everyone to step outside, break free from their routines, and reconnect with nature this summer. The 2026 Beach 100 includes 27 new beaches, a treasure trove of local experiences listed on platforms like Tripadvisor, and enhanced conservation initiatives in partnership with Oceanic Global. Clarissa Pantoja, Global VP of Corona, emphasizes the brand’s commitment: “It’s not just about discovering beaches; it’s about valuing and protecting the ecosystems that make them unique.”

Spotlight on the Canary Islands

Among the highlights of this year’s list is the inclusion of Grandes Playas de Corralejo in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. This recognition solidifies the Canary Islands’ status as one of the Atlantic’s most exquisite coastal destinations. The island is celebrated not just for its breathtaking volcanic landscapes but also for its diverse marine life and their intricate relationship with the Atlantic Ocean.

Roberto Martínez de Bustos, General Director of Cervecera de Canarias, commented on this selection, stating that it reflects the natural value of Fuerteventura and the entire Canary Islands. He added, “It embodies the essence of This Is Living: pure nature, ocean, and a genuine way of enjoying the outdoors year-round.”

Diverse Beach Destinations Across the Globe

The Corona Beach 100 for 2026 features an impressive selection of beaches from six continents. From hidden Mediterranean coves to remote South American shores and iconic surfing spots, each beach has been carefully selected based on three key criteria: beach culture, connection to nature, and aesthetic landscape. Collaboratively developed with experiential agency WINK, the ranking includes 20 beaches awarded the prestigious Three Suns distinction, the highest honor within this program.
