Beatriz Calzada, President of the Port Authority of Las Palmas, announced exciting news regarding the Puerto del Rosario cruise port: during April 2025, the port welcomed 35,338 cruise passengers, marking a significant 11.29% increase compared to the same month last year. This upward trend is underscored by the fact that, so far in 2025, a staggering 282,193 passengers have arrived at this port—almost 40% more than in the first four months of 2024. Such impressive growth underscores the essential need for enhanced services for cruise travelers, a vision made reality with the inauguration of a new cruise terminal.
The New Terminal’s Features
The newly inaugurated terminal spans an impressive 924 square meters and is strategically positioned just a short distance from the city center.
