HiperDino’s Transformation: A New Era for Grocery Shopping in Fuerteventura

In 2026, HiperDino, a prominent name in the supermarket sector, is taking significant strides to enhance the shopping experience across its establishments. The latest highlight is the comprehensive renovation of their HiperDino Express in El Cotillo, located in the stunning Canary Islands of Fuerteventura. This overhaul not only showcases the company’s commitment to modernizing its stores but also reflects its dedication to providing quality service and products to its customers.

A Multimillion-Euro Investment

The renovation of HiperDino Express El Cotillo has been a monumental project, with an investment nearing one million euros. This significant capital infusion has resulted in a drastic expansion of the store’s facilities. The updated layout now boasts an impressive 437 square meters dedicated solely to sales, within a total area of 558 square meters. This increase in space allows for a multitude of product sections, including bakery, fresh produce, perfumery, wine selections, organic items, and frozen foods.

Expanding Footprint and Offerings

As of now, HiperDino operates 93 Express locations throughout the Canary Islands, with plans to expand further into Mallorca, where they anticipate having 21 stores by the end of April. This ambitious expansion strategy underscores the company’s focus on providing fresh, local, and high-quality products, catering specifically to the needs and preferences of their clientele.

Commitment to Sustainability

The renovation project also emphasizes HiperDino’s commitment to environmental sustainability. New energy-efficient measures have been implemented, including LED lighting throughout the sales area, which dramatically reduces energy consumption. Additionally, the installation of Danfoss tele-management systems ensures optimal coordination of lighting, signage, air conditioning, and even the critical refrigeration systems. These upgrades not only enhance the shopping experience but also align with modern expectations of sustainability in business operations.

Hiperber’s New Supermarket in Cullera

As HiperDino revamps its existing locations, Hiperber is on a parallel path of growth, recently inaugurating a brand-new supermarket in Cullera, Valencia. Situated on Bombers Street, this new store represents a strategic move to bolster Hiperber’s presence in the Valencia province as part of their continuous expansion plan.

A Spacious and Accessible Retail Environment

The Cullera supermarket spans an expansive 1,315 square meters, providing ample space for customers to explore. Additionally, the store features 68 parking spots, making it easy for shoppers to access the facility. In line with Hiperber’s previous expansions, this venture required an investment of around 700,000 euros, reflecting the company’s dedication to growth and development in the region.

Employment and Community Engagement

In this new establishment, Hiperber has prioritized local employment by maintaining the existing workforce from the previous operator, which includes a team of 16 employees. This decision not only contributes to job security but also exemplifies Hiperber’s commitment to the local community.

A Diverse Shopping Experience

The Cullera store follows Hiperber’s typical commercial model, which emphasizes consumer choice and variety. It features a balanced mix of well-known brands alongside carefully selected private label products—around 8,000 references in total. Shoppers can enjoy a variety of fresh sections, including butchery, deli, bakery, and produce. This diverse assortment caters to the varied preferences of consumers, ensuring they have access to both premium brands and quality private labels.

The Retail Landscape in 2026

As HiperDino and Hiperber carve their paths in the grocery retail sector, both companies illustrate the importance of innovation, sustainability, and community-focused strategies. Their ongoing expansions and renovations signal a positive transformation in the shopping experience for consumers, emphasizing fresh products, local employment, and an efficient shopping environment—all crucial elements for success in today’s market.
