Celebrate Local Commerce at the IV Feria de Oportunidades in Puerto del Rosario
This weekend, the vibrant heart of Puerto del Rosario will come alive as it hosts the IV Feria de Oportunidades, organized by the Asociación Empresarios Puerto del Rosario. Scheduled for June 14 and 15, the event promises to transform downtown into a bustling marketplace filled with cultural activities, community spirit, and stellar discounts from over 30 local businesses.
Economic Activity and Responsible Consumption
The core purpose of the feria is to invigorate the economic activity within the municipality. But it goes beyond mere commerce; it’s an invitation to everyone to embrace responsible and local consumption. The event boasts a jam-packed program suited for the entire family, featuring live music, creative workshops, kids’ zones, charitable gastronomy, and exciting raffles. Streets will be brimming with life, as both residents and visitors converge to celebrate.
Launch of the New PROSA Local Commerce App
One of the most anticipated highlights of the feria is the unveiling of the PROSA Comercio Local app. This digital platform is designed to reward consumers instantly for their purchases during the event. The official launch will take place on Saturday, June 15, at 10:30 AM, and is sure to enhance the shopping experience.
Saturday: A Full Day of Fun and Activities
The feria will kick off on Saturday, June 14, at 10:00 AM with an official inauguration. Throughout the morning, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, attendees can enjoy live music from three different venues along the street. Simultaneously, various workshops will engage families in activities like “Mi Molino Pop Up,” “Caritas de Cabras,” and artistic face painting along with glitter tattoos, thanks to Pintadera Canarias.
From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a solidary gastronomic zone will feature Josele, a master ham cutter, with proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Family Association (AFFA).
The afternoon activities will continue from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, featuring more face painting and creative workshops. Visitors can also indulge in solidarity pizzas, with profits benefitting AFFA.
Sunday: Dive Deeper into Activities
The festivities will continue on Sunday, June 15, beginning with the much-anticipated launch of the PROSA app at 10:30 AM. Live music will fill the air once again from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, while the Casa de Globos Cultural will be open for visitors until 3:00 PM, hosting a Glitter Bio Bar and more glitter tattoos.
Families can join in workshops like “Mi Talega Majorera” and “Cabrito y Pastores” from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Meanwhile, a photo booth with the Ruleta de la Suerte will provide fun challenges and instant photo memories at the Rincón de la Fama.
Adding to the community spirit, the gastro area will once again operate from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with proceeds benefiting AFFA. The awarding of gift vouchers to lucky shoppers will occur at 2:30 PM, followed by the official closure of the feria at 3:00 PM.
