The Municipality of Puerto del Rosario is actively addressing the needs of its residents with the implementation of the Asfaltados project, specifically targeting various villages throughout the region. The second phase of the Tesjuates project is a significant undertaking aimed at enhancing and paving multiple municipal pathways within this inner district.
The project boasts a budget allocation of €720,127.05 and will be conducted by Construcciones Rodríguez Ramírez S.A. This initiative focuses on improving several roads that have long gone untreated with bituminous materials. For years, this neglect has complicated daily travel for residents and visitors alike. The upcoming work is set to provide these roads with safer, more comfortable surfaces tailored to modern requirements.
David de Vera, the Mayor of Puerto del Rosario, emphasized that “this project is a response to a known community demand that needed a serious solution. We’re talking about roads that families, farmers, and local residents use every day. Improving these pathways means enhancing the daily lives of many individuals.” His sentiments reflect a broader commitment to ensuring that all villages within the municipality enjoy modern and functional services.
Supporting this vision, Ana Hernández, the Councilor for Works, elaborated on the comprehensive nature of the project. The work will involve preliminary tasks such as clearing the land, leveling and compacting the terrain, as well as the application of artificial fill and subsequent hot mix asphalt as a surface layer. This meticulous approach not only supports immediate needs but also fosters long-term sustainability.
“Beyond just asphalt paving, we will also address transverse drainage solutions, pipes, and both horizontal and vertical signage,” noted Hernández. This holistic approach ensures a thorough and enduring intervention, taking into account all aspects of road usage and infrastructure needs.
Hernández further highlighted that “this project has been designed with functionality and technical expertise in mind. Each enhancement in these villages adds layers of safety, comfort, and trust for the year-round residents.” Such considerations demonstrate the municipality’s dedication to improving quality of life through reliable infrastructure.
The Municipality of Puerto del Rosario reiterates that this initiative is part of a broader strategy aimed at renewing and enhancing infrastructure across various population centers. Special attention is given to areas that have persistently called for urgent interventions. This commitment underscores the local government’s responsiveness to community concerns, ensuring that every corner of the municipality is given the attention it deserves.
