With these latest additions, the Balearic Islands now boast a total of 219 establishments awarded the coveted yellow mark. This selection not only emphasizes the islands’ renowned coastal attractions but also showcases a rich tapestry of dining options that reflect the diverse gastronomy of the archipelago. From traditional dishes to innovative culinary experiences, the Balearic Islands are becoming a culinary hotspot.

Expanding Horizons: Guía Repsol’s Fourteenth Edition

In its fourteenth edition, Guía Repsol has broadened its reach by including locations in Andorra for the first time, bringing the overall count of yellow-marked venues to over 5,000. This extensive portfolio encompasses a variety of formats, including cafés, bars, restaurants with terraces, wine bars, cocktail lounges, and even ice cream shops. It’s a testament to the vibrant food culture that exists across Spain, and the Balearic Islands are no exception.

Mallorca: The Star of New Additions

Mallorca stands out with the most new Soletes, welcoming seven new venues into the fold. In the capital city of Palma, three establishments have gained recognition: Blat al Sac, Gibson Bar, and Bar Rita. These venues not only offer delicious food but also embody the spirit of Mallorca, blending local flavors with contemporary culinary trends.

Beyond Palma, the guide highlights venues like Cala Fornells in Peguera and Sa Font Fresca in Deya, which beautifully combine Mallorcan tradition with modern gastronomy. The island’s inland villages are also making their mark, with Ca S’Arquitecte in Sencelles and Nu in Montuïri showcasing the excellence of rural Mallorca. These establishments focus on local and zero-kilometre products, emphasizing sustainability and freshness in their offerings.

Menorca contributes five new recognitions, primarily in its main towns. In Mahon, the island’s capital, Bar Marcelino and Vida Una present two distinct dining concepts that share a commitment to quality. These venues reflect the island’s culinary authenticity, offering dishes that resonate with both locals and visitors.

Ciutadella also welcomes two new Soletes: Imperi and Primitiu. These establishments echo Menorcan culinary traditions, ensuring that the island’s rich gastronomic heritage is preserved and celebrated. Additionally, Perbacco in Ferreries joins the list, further enhancing the island’s reputation as a culinary destination.

Ibiza: A Fusion of Tradition and Innovation

Ibiza, known for its vibrant nightlife and stunning beaches, adds four new Soletes across various municipalities. Can Mestre and Es Timbal, located in Sant Josep, represent traditional Eivissan cuisine, offering a taste of the island’s culinary roots. Meanwhile, S. Mari in Sant Antoni and Soleà in Santa Eulària contribute to the already rich gastronomic scene, showcasing a blend of traditional and modern culinary influences.
