The excitement continues to flourish during the second day at Saborea España, a fantastic event that highlights the rich culinary traditions of the region. This day was kicked off with a warm welcome in the AULA VINO section of the Saborea España stand, where the enchanting Bodega Conatvs from Los Lajares took center stage.

Local Wines Take the Spotlight

Attendees were treated to a selection of exquisite local wines, making this an excellent introduction to the intricate flavors of the region. The atmosphere was lively, with the irresistible allure of the wines calling out to connoisseurs and casual drinkers alike. To add to the excitement, Bodega Conatvs held a raffle, giving guests a chance to win bottles of their celebrated wines. This interactive component not only engaged visitors but also showcased the winery’s commitment to sharing its passion for local viticulture.

Gastronomic Delights: The ‘Tapalaja’

Next up in the day’s itinerary was a presentation by the talented chef Gloria Rodríguez from the beloved Los Pinchitos restaurant in Los Lajares. Rodríguez captivated the audience with her demonstration of the ‘Tapalaja.’ This delectable tapa is crafted from traditional majorero goat meat, a true testament to the area’s culinary heritage. This exciting event is set to unfold between May 30 and June 2, 2024, in La Oliva, striving to fuse sports and gastronomy. Organized by the Club Deportivo Caima and Marcos Gutiérrez, Paladea Fuerteventura aims to cement local culinary offerings as a premium tourist attraction. During this presentation, guests were treated to the chance to win a fabulous experience in Fuerteventura, including a stay at the charming Hotel Rural El Cabo “Casa Marcos” in Villaverde.

A Hands-On Culinary Experience

The day wrapped up with more culinary magic as Gloria Rodríguez returned to lead a hands-on tapas workshop. Participants had the chance to recreate the widely acclaimed ‘Tapalaja,’ further solidifying their appreciation for local flavors. To complement this delightful cooking experience, a wine tasting featuring the exquisite selections from Bodega Conatvs was included.

Adding to the day’s bounty, participants left with a generous basket filled with local products, generously provided by the Concejalía de Turismo of La Oliva, headed by David Fajardo.
