On Friday, residents, business owners, and representatives from the coastal area of Antigua gathered in Caleta de Fuste to discuss concerns regarding one of the municipality’s primary tourist and residential zones. Organized by the AECA Business Association, the meeting attracted around 200 participants who expressed worries about security, cleanliness, and lighting along the coastal stretch between Las Salinas del Carmen, El Castillo, and Nuevo Horizonte.
During the gathering, attendees agreed to allow the new municipal government time to present their proposals and respond to the concerns raised by both residents and business owners over the past several months. The participants emphasized the need to improve public space maintenance and enhance security to match the tourism significance of Caleta de Fuste and the broader Antigua coastline.
