Transforming Retail: The Revamp of HiperDino Express El Cotillo
Recently, HiperDino, the leading supermarket chain in the Canary Islands, unveiled a modern, revamped version of its HiperDino Express El Cotillo store. This transformation, which took about two weeks to complete, marks a significant investment in enhancing the customer experience and adapting to the increasing demands of the local community.
A Bold Investment
HiperDino’s commitment to modernization is evident in the substantial investment of nearly one million euros allocated for this project. The store now boasts an impressive 437 square meters dedicated to sales, nestled within a total area of 558 square meters. This increased space enables the supermarket to present not only its standard product lines but also expanded sections for bakery items, fresh produce, cosmetics, an extensive wine selection, organic offerings, and frozen foods.
Meeting Customer Demands
According to Felipe Díaz, the coordinator for HiperDino Express (HDX) in the Canarias, this renovation was driven by the need to align their services with customer expectations in high tourist influx areas. “This renovation has not only modernized our sections and services but has also improved operational efficiency, ultimately enhancing the quality of service for our clientele, especially in regions with high tourist occupancy throughout the year,” Díaz stated.
As the demand for grocery services continues to grow, HiperDino remains dedicated to investing in its establishments. The chain currently operates 93 HDX locations in the Canary Islands and plans to expand to 21 locations in Mallorca by the end of April. This strategic move aims to offer fresh, high-quality products while catering to the diverse needs of its customers, particularly the many tourists visiting the Canary Islands.
Energy Efficiency Initiatives
The store’s renovation is not just about aesthetics; it also includes eco-friendly upgrades. The project features LED lighting throughout the sales area, along with Danfoss telemanagement systems to control the lighting, store signage, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems effectively. These energy-efficient solutions are designed to optimize efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of the store’s operations.
Location and Accessibility
HiperDino Express El Cotillo is conveniently located at Calle Los Lagos, 7, and operates from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The store’s extended hours cater to both locals and tourists, ensuring that customers have ample opportunity to shop at their convenience.
