Recently, they proudly unveiled the renovation of their HiperDino Express location in El Cotillo, Fuerteventura. The El Cotillo store has undergone a comprehensive transformation, significantly increasing its size and improving functionality. With an investment nearing one million euros, the space has expanded to encompass 437 square meters dedicated to sales, within a total area of 558 square meters. This newly revamped space is set to feature not only the traditional product aisles but also dedicated sections for bakery goods, fresh produce, perfumery, wines, organic products, and frozen items.
This renovation does more than just enlarge the footprint of the store; it reflects HiperDino’s commitment to providing a diverse shopping experience. According to Felipe Díaz, the coordinator for HiperDino Express in the Canary Islands, this upgrade aligns with the commercial demands of customers in the municipality. It enhances service quality, modernizes product sections, and optimizes operational efficiency—especially crucial in a tourist-heavy area that draws visitors year-round, particularly from April onwards.

Díaz emphasizes that HiperDino is investing heavily in improving its Express formats in 2026. Currently, the supermarket chain operates 93 HiperDino Express stores across the Canary Islands, with plans to expand further. By late April, they will also open 21 additional locations in Mallorca, reinforcing the group’s focus on delivering fresh, local, and high-quality products tailored to the tastes of tourists visiting the Canary Archipelago.
