Carnival 2025 – IES Jandía

On March 19, 2025, the halls of IES Jandía transformed into a vibrant carnival celebration filled with color, music, and creativity. For students and staff alike, this date marked the much-anticipated Carnival 2025, a day dedicated to lively performances, imaginative costumes, and community spirit.

The Carnival Atmosphere

As the clock struck the 5th and 6th hours of the school day, the school’s pavilion became an enchanting backdrop for a series of parades and performances. Students donned an array of inventive costumes, each more dazzling than the last. The excitement in the air was palpable, with laughter, cheers, and applause ringing out as peers showed their support for one another’s performances.

The event was skillfully managed by Joseba, who ensured the sound was just right for the spectacular acts taking place. A fantastic mix of talents took the stage, showcasing the fantastic spirit of camaraderie that defines IES Jandía. Carla and Carlos, two students from 1st Bachillerato, brought their flair and enthusiasm to host the event, guiding spectators through the vibrant program.

Competitions and Festivities

The heart of the carnival was not just the performances themselves but also the competitions that brought out the creativity among students. From the most unique facemasks to the most imaginative carnival posters, there was no shortage of talent on display.

A special shout-out goes to J. Sandra Balagay Ortiz, who contributed an array of costumes that decorated the central courtyard, setting a festive scene for all in attendance. Beyond the live performances, the audience also had their say as prizes were awarded not only for the best performances but also for the most original masks and the most creative carnival posters.
