They are building on earlier discoveries made by tourists in 2012, when pieces of pottery linked to a Roman amphora were unearthed.

These ongoing studies are a collaboration with a team from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, under the guidance of Professor Pablo Atoche.
