La Oliva Presents a Vibrant Cultural Agenda for Easter in El Cotillo
In an exciting collaboration between the Cultural Department of La Oliva, directed by David Hernández, and the Analogic Foundation Cultural Association, led by David Rica, a unique cultural agenda for Easter has been unveiled in El Cotillo. Scheduled for March 28, 29, and 30, this event promises an unforgettable cultural experience for all attendees.
Festival Sonido Costero (SoCo)
Kicking off the celebrations will be the Festival Sonido Costero (SoCo), organized by the Analogic Foundation in partnership with various local entities, including the La Oliva City Council and the Cabildo Insular de Fuerteventura. SoCo will take place in the charming Plaza Vieja of El Cotillo, featuring a lineup of concerts on March 28 and 29. The festival will delight attendees with live performances from 7 PM until 1:30 AM on Thursday, and until 3 AM on Friday. Expect artists from Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and beyond to grace the stage.
David Hernández, the Cultural Councilor of La Oliva, expressed his enthusiasm for this vibrant initiative. He emphasized the importance of fostering local culture and supporting local talent. “Good morning everyone, we are gathered in the iconic Plaza Vieja of El Cotillo, where the Cultural Department of the La Oliva City Council joins the Cabildo to breathe life into the much-anticipated Festival Sonido Costero. This is an event that celebrates alternative music and culture, offering a varied program that promises to enrich our senses during this Easter Week,” he stated passionately.
Commitment to Local Artists
David Rica, president of the Analogic Foundation, underlined the association’s dedication to promoting Canarian artists and creating inclusive cultural spaces. “Our goal is to give emerging artists the opportunity to showcase their work in the best conditions and with the necessary support. We are grateful for the backing of our institutions and hope that everyone enjoys this event,” Rica remarked.
This commitment to local talent is evident in the carefully curated lineup that highlights both established and up-and-coming artists, providing a platform for diverse musical expressions and enriching the cultural tapestry of the region.
Grand Easter Festival
Closing the three-day celebration will be the Grand Easter Festival, organized by the Cultural Department of La Oliva on March 30 at the Plaza de El Cotillo, starting at 9 PM. The festival is set to feature musical performances from notable groups such as Nuevo Klan, Grupo Arena, ASERES, and Laly Lean. This vibrant event promises to be a memorable gathering for attendees, bringing together community members and visitors in a festive atmosphere.
An Open Invitation
Hernández invites all residents of the municipality and visitors from other parts of the island to join in the fun in El Cotillo. “We extend a warm invitation to all locals and visitors to discover our stunning beaches, explore our hidden gems, and enjoy the hospitality of our shops and restaurants. Easter here, in El Cotillo, is an experience you cannot miss. We await you with open arms to share a weekend full of music, culture, and joy,” he concluded.
This engaging cultural agenda showcases the collaborative spirit of La Oliva and its partners, highlighting a commitment to enriching the local community through music and cultural exchange during Easter in El Cotillo.
